Fort Worth Star-Telegram, May 13, 1998 : Section B, page 10 Thomas Allen Harris (retired Army chaplain, associate director of the Episcopal Pastoral Center and associate pastor of Trinity Episcopal Church; died May 11, 1998 in Fort Worth at age 79; born in Dallas on Feb. 26, 1919; he received a BBA degree from SMU in 1940 and was inducted into the Army during World War II; returned to Perkins School of Theology at SMU and graduated with a M.Th. degree in 1950; was first in a unique training program at Duke Medical Center to train and supervise Army chaplains; taught at the Duke Divinity School and the Army Chaplain School at Fort Slocum, N.Y.; had been associate director of the Episcopal Pastoral Center in Fort Worth and associate director of the Trinity Episcopal Church since 1972)
